Browser Settings and Downloads
Please follow these steps for best results with online courses and lectures:

1. Download the recommended Java Runtime Environment.
JRE 1.5 Update 7 - Sun Java 1.5 is used to view Tegrity Lectures and operate WebCT courses. When you follow the link to download Java, you'll need to accept their license agreement and then click on one of the links for the Windows setup. You'll need to save all these files where you can find them, then double-click on them to run them. Check your program list in your Start menu.

2. Download Windows Media Player and iTunes (if needed).
Windows Media Player (click to download) - Windows Media Player is needed to view Tegrity sessions. This program is usually included with the Windows Operating System.
iTunes - iTunes is required to get the MP3 version of the newest lectures. It is a free download.

3. Download the necessary codecs. You must have the following codecs installed to properly view some sessions.
MPEG 4 Codec for Windows Media (click to download)
Screen Recording Codec (click to download)
Windows Media 7 Codec (click to download)

4. Open the Internet Options screen. You can access this with Internet Explorer open, using the Tools menu. Or when it's closed, you can right click on the Internet Explorer icon and choose Internet Options from the list.

5. Add SAGU to your "Trusted Sites" list. Starting at the Security tab, click on Trusted Sites (the green circle with the check mark). Then click on the Sites... button underneath it. Make sure the box next to "Require server verification..." is not checked. Then enter *.sagu.edu in the write-in box. Click Add, then OK. Next, click on the Custom Level... button. On this screen, set your Security level as low as you can (this is probably Medium). Also, in the big box under "Settings", look for the "Scripting" heading. Under "Scripting of Java applets", make sure Enabled is checked. Click OK.

6. Allow all pop-ups from SAGU sites. Now click on the Privacy tab. Here, look for the Pop-up Blocker section. It's probably best to leave "Block pop-ups" checked, but if you click on the Settings... button, you can put *.sagu.edu in the box next to Add. Click Add, and you shouldn't have any pop-ups blocked from SAGU sites. Click Close on this window.
