Dual Credit at SAGU

This unique program works in combination with our distance education program. SAGU’s web-based delivery creates an ideal format to learn wherever your mission assignment may take you. Online courses give you the ability to network with peers, receive instruction from SAGU professors, and complete assignments at your own pace. Each SAGU course is also taught by a qualified SAGU professor through web audio and video.

Dual Credit Program

Southwestern has introduced a new program allowing high school students to earn college credit at a significantly reduced tuition rate. No matter where you are attending high school this program is for you.

What are the Benefits?

• Save Time - Students can earn up to24 credit hours before ever setting foot on campus. They may enroll in up to six hours/semester, beginning the summer following their junior year and continuing until the following summer.
• Save Money - Dual Credit & Early Enrollment students receive a special, half-tuition discount for their courses, possibly saving them thousands of dollars.

How does it work?

Many dual credit programs require that students attend traditional high school or college classes. However, SAGU makes dual credit courses available from home via the internet through a proven distance education program.

The process is simple:

1. Apply to SAGU's early admissions program.
2. Select general education courses that fit your needs.
3. Register at SAGU to access online course materials.
4. Clear the course with your high school accrediting body to have college-level work count as high school credit.
