Biography
Linda Robins joined the Southwestern Assemblies of God University Music Department in 1989. She received the B.M.E. and M.M.E. from Central State University (Edmond, Oklahoma). Miss Robins taught music education courses for grades K-12 in public and private schools in Oklahoma for fourteen years, and served as a minister of music prior to teaching at SAGU. She has served as an adjudicator for Assemblies of God District and National Fine Arts Festivals since 1975. Miss Robins directed the Harvesters from 1989-2003. During this tenure the Harvesters had five recording projects, traveled extensively throughout the Southwestern region, and traveled to Belgium, Germany and Brazil. Honors and awards include Outstanding Young Women of America (1981); Who’s Who in American Christian Leadership (1989); Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers (1994); The International Who’s Who of Professional & Business Women (1998); The Woman of the Year (1999); The World Who’s Who of Women (2000); the SAGU Distinguished Faculty Award (1999); the Southwesterner Faculty Dedication (2001); and was inducted into the Assemblies of God Music Hall of Honor (2005).
