Shelly Zaldivar, MBA, ABD
Mrs. Shelly Zaldivar's professional experience has encompassed senior leadership roles in the Digital space for a large financial institution for more than ten years, as well as Small Business where she managed the strategy and development of a small business deposits application and online experience. Prior to working at the bank, Mrs. Zaldivar held leadership roles in several other large companies including Macy’s and Walt Disney World.
Mrs. Zaldivar earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas in 2007. She then continued on to earn an MBA specializing in Marketing Management from the University of Dallas in 2010 and is currently pursuing her PhD in Management with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change from Walden University. Mrs. Zaldivar's research interests include virtual leadership, emotional intelligence, change management and servant leadership. Additionally, Mrs. Zaldivar is Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified.
Mrs. Zaldivar currently serves as a mentor for her company's leadership for women group, as well as, for virtual office participants within her company. She has taught at Southwestern since 2011and feels blessed to be able to help students see the connection between business and ministry. She actively serves in ministry including foster care/adoptive ministry and altar work.
