Waxahachie, Texas- October 30, 2014- Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) will be holding a canned food drive on Saturday, November 1, at the home soccer games against Texas Wesleyan University.  SAGU will be participating in The SAC Gives Back, a conference-wide community service initiative.

SAGU is asking all attendees at Saturday’s game to bring canned food items, or money to donate.  The food collected on Saturday’s food drive will be donated to Heart for the Kids (HFTK).  HFTK’s helps to facilitate the physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children within the local area in Burleson, Texas.  Heart for the Kids food pantry provides food for Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as throughout the year.

SAGU’s goal is to donate the most canned food items in the Sooner Athletic Conference.  Come out to Saturday’s game and let’s show the SAC how much SAGU can give back.
