Experience all God has for you this summer at Camp U. Camp U is a blend of fun and inspiration. The days are filled with activities, including a huge activities center with an indoor swimming pool, racquetball, gymnasium, workout facilities, lake, outdoor pool and more. The nights will rock with the sounds of energized worship and messages that will impact your life for eternity. If you are looking for a closer relationship with God in a crazy, fun-filled atmosphere, Camp U is for you.

Camp Staff

Camp Director: Jaroy Carpenter

Jaroy

Jaroy is the Camp U director. He has many years of camp experiences, as camp speaker, camp programming, team building games and activities, as well as many years of Game Day Challenge interactive school assemblies used across the nation. He is currently the Director of Lakeview Camp and Retreat Center in Waxahachie, TX.

Daily Schedule

  • 8:00-9:00 AM – Rise & Shine / Shower, etc & Breakfast
  • 9:00-9:30 AM – Devotionals on Campus Grounds
  • 9:30 AM – Morning Meeting in Upper Room, Fitness Center
  • 12:00-1:00 PM – Lunch in Lakeview Dining Hall
  • 1:00-2:00 PM – Field & Gym Games
  • 2:00-3:00 PM – Water Games: Mon at the lake, Tue at the pool
  • 3:00-4:00 PM – Water Games: Mon at the pool, Tue at the lake
  • 4:00-5:00 PM – Free Time – Tournaments, Jumping Pillow
  • 5:00-6:00 PM – Dinner at Lakeview Dining Hall
  • 6:00-7:00 PM – Clean Up in rooms
  • 7:00-8:00 PM – Showtime at the View – Camp U Factor Talent Show at Upper Room, Fitness Center
  • 8:00-10:00 PM – Evening Meeting in Upper Room, Fitness Center
  • 10:00 PM – Late Night at the View (Oasis Snacks open, Special Events, Mon at 11 PM Campfire, Tue at 10 PM Campfire)
  • 12:00 AM – In your cabins for the night

What to Bring

Bible, notebook, sleeping bag or bedding for a twin-size bed, blanket, pillow, bath towel, swim towel, modest swimsuit, shorts, t-shirts, appropriate clothing for services, sunscreen, swim towels, sandals, tennis shoes for indoor play, sunglasses, cap, personal hygiene items (shampoo, body wash, soap, hair dryer, etc.), extra money (for snacks, souvenirs, etc.), outdoor fun items (football, Frisbee, kites, etc.). Campers are responsible for personal belongings.

Meals

All meals served in the Lakeview Dining Hall by Lakeview staff.

Rooms

All Camp U campers will stay at the Lakeview Camp facilities. You will need to bring your own bedding, toiletries, towels, etc. Campers will stay in cabins with counselors in the cabins as well.

Jotty Kinney

Since 1990, Jotty has been speaking to youth all across the nation, with humor and a thought provoking message. Since 1997, he has served as lead pastor at Christian Center Church in Hobbs New Mexico. He lives there with His wife Haley and their three boys, Jackson, Samuel and Charlie.
