Preparing for College Timeline
1. Begin thinking about what degrees you might be interested in.
2. Try to get a part-time or volunteer job in the career field you are interested in. This will help you decide what career is best for you.
3. Begin thinking about, and researching, colleges you might be interested in.
4. Contact colleges you are interested in; ask to have your name put in their database systems so you can receive information about the school.
5. Begin thinking about college costs and you might pay for your college education.
6. Start a college savings account with part-time job money.
7. Participate in Fine Arts Competitions (these are excellent scholarship opportunities).
8. Go an AIM trip (yet another excellent scholarship opportunity).
