What can I bring and what should I leave at home?
What To Bring:
General: Pillows, Linens, Blankets/Comforter, Towels, Toiletry Items, Alarm Clock, Laundry Soap, and Laundry Bag or Basket.
Entertainment: Stereos, computers, TV’s, VCR’s. and DVD players are allowed.
Electric: Coffee makers, irons, and hotpots may be brought. It is recommended that you bring a multiple outlet surge protector.
Decoration: Dorm residents are permitted to personalize their rooms with their own furnishings. However, residents are encouraged to remember that rooms are limited in size and roommates share an equal right to decorate the room. Pictures and posters may be hung with sticky-tack, tape, or hooks. Students may bring carpet. Students are also permitted to bring love seats or small couches, if space is available. Room measurements and roommate contact information will be mailed prior to New Student Orientation.
What NOT To Bring:
General: Candles, Incense or wax burners, Pets, Illegal Drugs or alcohol, and Firearms or weapons are NOT allowed.
Entertainment: “R” rated movies/DVD’s and music that is not conducive to a Christian environment are prohibited. Acoustic Drum sets are not allowed in the dorm rooms.
Electric: Toasters, electric skillets, hot plates, and similar open-heating appliances are not permitted.
Decoration: Nails are not to be driven into the walls, closets, or furniture.
