Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society, recently elected officers for the 2005-2006 school year.  Pictured are (l to r) Jennifer Brewer, secretary; Jasmine Zamora, Vice President; Traci Logan, historian; Tara Varner, President; Daniel Garza, president elect; and Prof. Gary D. Each fall students in Professor Gary McElhany's Advanced Topics in American History course present character sketches from the time period. In time, students will be available to present their sketches to public school classrooms.
Betsey Ross tells the story of our nations flag, through the voice of Alex Negrete Christopher Vale's portrayal of patriot Nathan Hale features a serious case of rope burn.
Danni Perez brings to life religious dissenter Anne Hutchinson.
Jennifer Brewer adds drama to her appearance as the British actress turned abolitionist, Fannie Kimble.

Philip Saenz took a different approach to the project, appearing as the ghost of Abraham Lincoln
Sarah Yellowhair drew students in to her appearance as a southern plantation wife.

Professor Mary Jackson's office is always open to students. Her concern is evident as she discusses the courses and ministers to them in prayer. Technology and Inventions students Greg Blake, Jordan Fenner, Mark Larsen, and Michael Hirtzel present their research on rocketry.
