Millard E. Collins

"In October 1947 Arthur Graves, Nicholas Nikoloff, Millard Collins, J. Roswell Flower, and Ralph Riggs traveled to Winona Lake, Indiana, where a popular fundamentalist summer conference grounds was the setting for a consultation among representatives of fifty Bible institutes, thirty-eight of which were non-Assemblies of God.  Representing "all shades of fundamental faith" in the United States and Canada, the men discussed their common perception of the need for uniform standards for Bible institutes." (Blumhofer..114).

"This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as others..., in the vanity of their mind."  Eph.4:17  But "walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time." (Col.4:5)

"We invite you to walk with us at Southwestern...to walk with Christian people in a Christian place...Every student has a "born again" experience with the Lord...Every faculty and staff member is a Spirit-filled believer trained for his task...We walk with him who is a "friend closer than a brother."   (Southwesterner 1951).

1951 President Southwestern Bible College
