Rev. Del Guynes holds a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Master of Science in Telecommunications. Del has worked for a number of media companies in various roles, while a bi-vocational ordained AG minister.
Early in his career, Del was involved for a brief time in freelance television writing and directing for churches while attending graduate school. Upon finishing his graduate degree, Del joined Jones International, a media conglomerate based in Denver, Colorado. During his seventeen years at Jones, he led business development efforts for the cable television branch in competitive telecommunications. Also during this time, Del was responsible for integrating the business development efforts of several subsidiaries, leading the effort to establish international sales, distribution and technical support channels for Jones’ off-shore business ventures. While employed at Jones, Del served as Minister of Music at Aurora First Assembly of God in Aurora, Colorado.
In 2004, Del and his wife, Christi, came to SAGU to lead SAGU’s traveling music ministry teams and coordinate Chapel Worship teams. During this time, Del also served as an Information Technology consultant, supporting media clients in multiple locations in the U.S. In the Fall of 2010, Del accepted the role of Interim Department Chair of the Communication Arts Department.
